I have attended this church for as long as I can remember. I have learned and grown a lot in this church, despite beliefs or other ways that have helped me grown. St. Cecilia Church in Los Angeles has given me a better view on my community as a whole and grow closer to those around me. Just being a part of that community and eventually becoming an actual volunteer, slowly opened up my shell. I was constantly surrounded by many other people, many adults, that got to recognize me and watched me grow. That presence of having them near me all these years has kept me going, because in their own little way, some of these people tried to support and encourage me to keep going. Volunteering got me much more accustomed to working with many different people. It helped me understand others and taught me how to have an open mind and to always accept a new idea. I have gotten lots of experience with basic office work which I believe will be helpful no matter where I may end up.
